hi, we started to work with zest for an application AIR with 3D.
We tried to work with your samples, but still have some problems to compile.
For example, there is an error in the AGALtextureRectangle.as / type wasn’t found.
Can you help us on this ?
and, do you think there will be possible to do that with AIR and 3D (.dae or .3ds, or other format)
We see a lot of broken URL on the Adobe Web Site, and it’s appeared like they didn’t want to speak about this issue…

no, it was the Zest3D_0_9_0.swc version.

it’s still compiled an error with the AGALTextureRectangle.as :
“type wasn’t found or compile-time constant: RectangleTexture”.
When I try to bypass, there’s a lot of errors appeared. I can’t get around that function.
Do you have an idea ?

Try building to version 13 of the flash player. If you are using FlashDevelop, there is a bug with the Flash Player 14 target where the RectangleTexture class definition is missing from the playerglobal.swc

Texture types are available depending on what your context profile is set to. Rectangle textures are only available if the Context3D was requested with the baseline or baselineExtended profile. Make sure you have your context3D profile set to a compatible profile.

AND ? AGAL texture problem / AIR Flash Stage3D – How do you solve this bug since neither of your “advices” help, is there way to run this examples with FP14 or ?

Dawson Valdes has stated that setting the context request to apply the baseline or baselineExtended profile would resolve this issue AND therefore he offered you a solution. It’s not a bug, but a Stage3D feature update and Zest3D is open source so feel free to modify the context request. We will probably add a config system in the latest version but I’d like to emphasize that this forum is not a place to demand requests. If an example is offered to you, then it is through the generosity of our members.
